IT Grants
The Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Information Technology (VPAPIT) oversees several grant programs that benefit faculty of Texas A&M. Full guidelines for these programs are available online at the VPAPIT web site.
Faculty Workstation Program - Texas A&M replaces computer workstations for faculty members at least every four years. The program is made possible by the use of funds from the Office of the President, the VPAPIT Equipment Fund, and funds from Deans, departments, or individual faculty member grants.
VPAPIT continues to administer matching funds primarily at the college level, with the central administration's contributions being transferred to each college based on a faculty-count formula.
CA/ITF Competitive Grant - The Academic Program Council annually budgets a pool of funds for competitive proposals to support student instructional computing. When submitting proposals for consideration for funding, the potential positive impact on the student instructional computing environment should be outlined.
Classroom Instructional Technology Grants - This program provides matching funds for departments and colleges wishing to upgrade classroom instructional technology. This funding is in addition to the allocation provided to Instructional Media Services for instructional technology in classrooms administered by the Office of the Registrar.
