Virtual Private Network (VPN)

If you use an Internet service provider other than Texas A&M and need to access the campus network, set up Virtual Private Network (VPN) on your computer. VPN is useful for those who need the same level of access to resources as if they were directly connected to the campus network. The result is added convenience for remote users and increased security for Texas A&M resources.

To use VPN to connect to the Texas A&M network, download VPN software, which Texas A&M provides at no charge. Once installed on your computer, you need to configure it with your NetID and password. You can download VPN software, find configuration instructions, as well as learn more information online at the NIS VPN web page.
