Self-Service Password Reset

What happens if you return from a semester break and you can't remember your NetID password? You can always stop by Help Desk Central or any of the Open Access Labs, and they can reset your password so you can choose a new one. Be sure to bring a picture ID with you.

But there is a better way with Self-Service Password Reset. It allows you to reset your NetID password at any time from any place, should you forget it. To be able to use Self-Service Password Reset, you will need to choose three security questions IN ADVANCE. Your answers will be used along with other account information to verify your identity if you need to reset your password.

To get started, go to the Aggie Computing Gateway and click NetID Password Management. Then click Set Password Security Questions and log in with your NetID and password. Choose to enable Self-Service Password Reset, then select your three security questions.

If you do forget your password, go to the Aggie Computing Gateway and click NetID Password Management, then click Self-Service Password Reset. After providing identifying information, answer your three security questions. Your account is then flagged to allow you to enter a new password.
