NetID Password
To help maintain a secure connecting environment, NetID passwords expire every six months and must be changed to remain valid. Changing passwords frequently helps ensure your accounts cannot be accessed indefinitely if your password falls into the wrong hands.
You can find out when your password will expire by going to the Aggie Computing Gateway, clicking NetID Password Management, then NetID Password Expiration Date. As your password expiration nears, you will receive an email reminder to change it.
The Aggie Computing Gateway is also the place to go to change your password and set up Self-Service Password Reset. Read more at Help Desk Central's Password Information page.
Most importantly, be sure to keep your NetID password safe and confidential. Keeping your password to yourself makes it more difficult for an unauthorized person to gain access to your personal information and the university's computing resources. See our entry on Secure Computing for more information.
