Department: Enterprise Information Systems (EIS)
Contact Information: firstname.lastname@example.org
Project Overview: EIS developed a mobile version of the Howdy portal that connects students, applicants, faculty, staff, parents and former students to their web-based services at Texas A&M University. Users can visit https://howdy.tamu.edu on a mobile device, and they can log in to Howdy Mobile or go to the full Howdy website. EIS will continue to monitor feedback throughout the semester before officially launching the mobile site sometime early next year.
Benefits: The mobile site allows students to view their schedule, grades, holds and registration time assignment. In addition, students can search the online schedule of classes and add/drop classes. Links to TouchNet, the Financial Aid Portal and Aggie Answers are also provided. Faculty and Advisors can search the online schedule of classes and view rosters.
Timeline: The Beta version of Howdy Mobile was released in early fall 2011. Additions and modifications and additions are ongoing.
