Competitive Grant Proposals Memo

October 2, 2009

MEMORANDUM

TO: College Dean

FROM: Pierce E. Cantrell, Vice President & Associate Provost for Information Technology

SUBJECT: Competitive Grant Proposals 2009-2010

You will recall that the Computer Access Fee allocation approved by the Academic Program Council contains a $200,000 pool of funds for competitive proposals to support student instructional computing.

This is the 15th year of the program, and each previous year has been marked by a number of high quality proposals. The competition has been high, and not all worthy proposals could be funded within the limits of the resources available. The funded proposals are having a positive impact on the student instructional computing environment.

Attached are program guidelines for the 2009-2010 program. The program guidelines for this year are identical to last year.

Please submit one copy for each proposal to this office by Friday, October 30, 2009. The attached guidelines describe the evaluation criteria and the evaluation process. Let me know if there are any questions.
