FROM: Pierce E. Cantrell, Vice President & Associate Provost for Information Technology
SUBJECT: Classroom Instructional Technology Matching Grants, FY2010
The Classroom Instructional Technology Matching Grant program provides $193,000 per year in Computer Access/Instructional Technology Fees (CA/ITF) dedicated to providing matching funds for departments and colleges wishing to upgrade classroom instructional technology. This funding is in addition to the allocation provided to Instructional Media Services for instructional technology in classrooms controlled by the Registrar.
The Texas A&M University Instructional Technology Advisory Committee will evaluate proposals to upgrade specific classrooms. The evaluation of the proposals will be competitive. Updated proposal guidelines are attached. Please note that student laptop or desktop computers are not suitable for this program, but they may be submitted to the CA/ITF Competitive Grant program. Also note that rooms upgraded with this grant must be available for use by anyone with authorization to use the room during normal business hours without charge.
Equipment purchased with this funding will be placed on the requesting department or college’s inventory and remain the responsibility of the department or college.
Proposals for this year’s funding should be received by Friday, October 30, 2009 with an expected notification date by December 1, 2009. Address proposals and questions to:
