Grant Programs
The following grant programs are administered by the Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Information Technology.
Faculty Workstation Upgrade Program
The Faculty Workstation Program represents the commitment of the administration of Texas A&M University to replace computer workstations for faculty members at least every four years. The program is made possible by the commitment of funds from Interim President R. Bowen Loftin's office, the VPAPIT Capital Computer Equipment Fund, and the Dean, department, or individual faculty member's grant funds.

CA/ITF Competitive Grant
Each year, the Academic Program Council budgets a pool of funds for competitive proposals to support student instructional computing. Proposals being considered for funding should note the potential positive impact on the student instructional computing environment.

Classroom Instructional Technology Grants
The Classroom Instructional Technology Matching Grant program provides matching funds for departments and colleges wishing to upgrade classroom instructional technology. This funding is in addition to the allocation provided to Instructional Media Services for instructional technology in classrooms controlled by the Registrar.
To expand wireless networking (802.11g) access on campus, the cost for wireless access point installations will be reduced using a special allocation from the Office of the President. This program has been extended through FY2009.
