The university has opened dedicated learning spaces in the three-dimensional world for instructor and student use in time for the fall semester. Managed by Instructional Technology Services, the Second Life Campus is a free 3D virtual world where users can socialize, connect, and create using voice and text chat. The Aggieland and 12th Man Islands include 10 classroom areas, seven open-space areas, an amphitheater for larger group meetings, and several smaller meeting areas.
