Following are descriptions of and links to each of the units that report to the Vice President and Associate Provost for Information Technology. A listing by organizational structure (PDF) is also available.

  • Computing and Information Services

    CIS maintains and provides the Texas A&M campus computer labs, Help Desk Central, hardware and software support, numerous networking and Internet services, and training through Shortcourses.

  • Educational Broadcast Services

    EBS is comprised of KAMU-TV, KAMU-FM, and TTVN. In addition to serving as the public broadcasting station at Texas A&M, KAMU-TV also produces high quality video programs for university research and teaching while providing electronic media facilities for video conference and distance learning via satellite. KAMU-FM provides public radio services to Bryan/College Station and surrounding areas.

  • Enterprise Information Systems

    EIS is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of new mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems. Texas A&M's existing legacy Student Information Management System will be replaced by modern, state-of-the-art information systems that will be entirely web-based. In addition to the College Station campus, the project will include the Galveston campus, the Qatar campus, and participating College Station-based members of The Texas A&M University System.

  • Instructional Media Services

    IMS provides various kinds of multimedia equipment for use by Texas A&M faculty, staff and students to support their academic endeavors. From offices in Harrington, Blocker, and Horticulture/Forest Sciences they can deliver equipment for your class, meeting, thesis defense or other functions.

  • Instructional Technology Services

    ITS was established to foster effective use of instructional technology in teaching and learning at Texas A&M. They offer a wide variety of services to assist faculty: workshops, individual training, course design consultation, help with Blackboard Vista, online resources, and equipment for faculty use.

  • Networking and Information Security

    NIS maintains and manages the university's network infrastructure and administers information security strategies, procedures, and practices. NIS serves as the point of contact for information security-related issues on campus.

  • Telecommunications

    The mission of Telecommunications is to provide fast, reliable, and cost-effective telecommunications services to the students, faculty and staff of Texas A&M. From wired to cellular, and from radios to voice-over-IP, Telecommunications offers a full range of services, solutions and support.

  • Software short courses are offered at no charge to students on topics ranging from Word and Excel to Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
